This week while on a trip to Beijing, Ms. Pelosi openly stated the real goal of the environmental movement when she asserted, “”Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory … of how we are taking responsibility [in terms of the environment].”

And guess who will be the one determining whether your life measures up to the green standard that will no doubt apply to everyone except those in Congress?

Hey! You’re right, it’s Nancy Pelosi.

After all, when you have elections to win, you’re entitled to have as big a carbon footprint as you need to fly back and forth across the country and to go on “fact-finding” trips to Puerto Rico, Cancun and Australia. Somebody else will need to sacrifice to get global carbon emissions down.

If Nancy Pelosi gets any more involved with telling me what to do I’m going to have to insist she marries me.

Even my wife realizes there are certain aspects of our respective lives that we’re entitled to make individual decisions in. If I don’t put up with this kind of bullshit from her, I’m certainly not going to stand for it from some lady who can’t remember whether she heard about waterboarding or whether the CIA actually briefed her on windsurfing.
