American Olympic swimmer, Natalie Coughlin brought home six Medals (one gold, two silver, and three bronze) from the Beijing Games to add to her five medals from the 2004 Athens Games. US Olympic Swimmers at the NY Stock Exchange

Olympian sighting continue around the United States. Friday, US Olympic swimmers, Michael Phelps, Natalie Coughlin, and Ryan Lochte tour the New York Stock Exchange in New York City. They were guests of Warnaco, the parent company of Speedo, for whom the trio are spokespersons.
Phelps won a record eight Gold Medals at the Beijing Games in August. Coughlin won six Medals including one Gold, and Lochte won four Medals including two Gold.

World records were breaking again today at the “water cube” in Beijing. Here is a summary of all of the action:
Rebecca Soni of the United States set a new world record of 2:20.22 in her Gold Medal win in the women’s 200m breast stroke event. She was followed by Leisel Jones of Australia, the former world record holder, for the Silver Medal and Sara Nordenstam of Norway for the Bronze.

Michael Phelps didn’t compete in a final this morning in Beijing, but there was still plenty of action. Below are the results:
China’s Liu Zige won the women’s 200m butterfly event with a world record time of 2:04.18. She was followed by her teammate, Jiao Liuyang for the Silver Medal and Australia’s Jessicah Schipper for the Bronze.
Stephanie Rice and the Australian team prevailed in the women’s 4×200m freestyle relay, with a world record time of 7:44.31. World record times shattered in all four finals at the Water Cube on Wednesday. The most spectacular story is Michael Phelps winning his 10th and 11th Olympic medal, making him the most decorated Olympian in history. WOW! Phelps wasn’t the only story at the Cube, however. Federica Pellegrini of Italy took the Gold Medal in the women’s 200m freestyle event, with a world record time of 1:54.82. Pellegrini was the Silver Medalist in this event at the Athens Games.

Of course, the big swimming story of last night/this morning was Michael Phelps win in the men’s 200m freestyle event, earning him his ninth medal and third in Beijing. However, Phelps’ victory wasn’t the only story at the “Water Cube.” Below are a few scenes of the other happenings:

There have been many memorable moments for the Americans in the Beijing Olympics so far. Michael Phelps has secured his place in history as an Olympic legend alongside great athletes Mark Spitz and Carl Lewis today when he won his ninth olympic gold medal. It was another exciting night of swimming at the Qwest Center in Omaha last night. Two new world records were set, in both the Men’s and the Women’s 100m Backstroke events.
Natalie Coughlin, 25, the Gold Medal winner in Athens, finished first last night with a world record time of 58.97. Second by a fraction of a second was Margaret Hoelzer. Both women will compete in Beijing.
