There’s a new Resistance 2 trailer available on YouTube, but what makes this one special is that it might not be available really soon. According to PS3 Fanboy, the video was originally found on Eurogamer TV but wasn’t meant to be leaked online. Thus, you should enjoy the clip while it’s still there.
I’ve recently finished Resistance: Fall of Man and was quite dissatisfied with its ending. If you’ve finished the first game, you’ll be intrigued as to what this new video means. Yes, I have no idea as to what the video’s speaker is talking about.

There’s a new Resistance 2 trailer available on YouTube, but what makes this one special is that it might not be available really soon. According to PS3 Fanboy, the video was originally found on Eurogamer TV but wasn’t meant to be leaked online.
I’ve recently finished Resistance: Fall of Man and was quite dissatisfied with its ending. If you’ve finished the first game, you’ll be intrigued as to what this new video means. Yes, I have no idea as to what the video’s speaker is talking about.

“I was once just like you, and just like them.”

Is he Nathan Hale? Is the Chimeran part of him taking over? My guess is that the speaker is a new character that would be introduced in the sequel. When the speaker mentioned that he has “been here for an eternity,” then there’s no chance that he is Hale. And what’s this bit about a reunion?

Let the speculations begin.

Buttons no longer bleed into each other so the shooting doesn’t devolve into an exercise in frustration. There’s much to be desired about the game’s ending, though.

The ending is made up of a short narrative, a rather long list of credits, and one quick cutscene showing the fate of Sergeant Nathan Hale. The video you see above is the quick cutscene after the credits.

Look, I understand that Sony and Insomniac want to create a franchise out of Resistance (in fact, the sequel’s on the way). To do this, the ending should leave room for future installments. What I didn’t expect was that the ending is absolutely unsatisfying.

In a word, it sucked.

Why can’t game companies make better endings? Is it too much to ask that the developers invest a bit more time fleshing out a half-decent denouement, even if a sequel is in the works? Gameplay may be king, but factors like a good ending leave a lasting impression.

From Crackle: Resistance 2 Teaser Trailer

The guy said he has 19 hours left to live, and a nice shot of the Chimera army is shown in the background. Does this imply that Resistance 2 would be 19 hours long? I sure hope so.
I hope that this length would also equate to more of the awesome single-player gameplay found in the original. Granted that multiplayer is what keeps the first Resistance installed in [...]
Post from: EveryJoe

I hope that this length would also equate to more of the awesome single-player gameplay found in the original. Granted that multiplayer is what keeps the first Resistance installed in my PS3, but I do hope that the sequel’s campaign would be as long and as engaging as say, Resident Evil 4. Is this too much to ask?
