Although we are just a couple of days into the 2009-10 NBA season, there are a few teams who are off to a great start who should be recognized. Here are the top five teams in our first NBA power rankings of the season.

The 2009-10 NBA season hasn’t even begun, however there are a number of teams that have no shot at winning a championship this year. Here’s a look at the basketball power rankings for the worst teams in the NBA as it stands:
5. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Timberwolves have a lot of good, young pieces — namely Al Jefferon and Kevin Love — but it’ll take a few years before this squad is ready.
4. Milwaukee Bucks
After basically giving away Richard Jefferson and let Ramon Sessions, the Bucks just don’t have enough talent to compete right now.

With NBA training camps now underway, it is time to look at the latest NBA power rankings. Offseason moves are all but finished and teams will start assessing what they have. We’ll do the same and name the best of the best in this training camp edition of the 2009-10 NBA power rankings:

Now that a lot of the offseason action has taken place, it’s time to take a look at the 2009-10 NBA power rankings. While these rankings could change before the start of the season, here’s a look at the best basketball teams on the planet.
