AT&T U-Verse Winter Olympics Multi-View

One of my absolute favorite television events is starting next month! It’s the winter Olympics and this year they’re in Vancouver, Canada. NBC is covering the games which is fine with me because I’ve always liked Bob Costas for sports commentary.
I think I may be looking forward to this years broadcast of the games more than ever because I’m going to be able to enjoy them on my AT&T U-verse television programming. U-verse has recently released what they call a multi-view option. It provides a multiple picture-in-picture effect onscreen as you can see from the small image above.

08.08.08 – Lucky Microsoft! Loads of Sponsorship Eyeballs

After browsing around the NBC Olympics website I got to noticing just how much screen real estate that Microsoft is gathering on the site. They’ve just about got every single corner of the page covered by one of their properties.
Good deal for them, and I’m sure NBC was pleased to get some sponsorship money to help with the giant bandwidth charges they’ll be seeing for the next few weeks.
Microsoft has got MSN, Hotmail, MSNBC and their own corporate website linked in from the homepage and every other page on the site.

NBC Olympics Website Uses Silverlight…or are they?

I’m really excited about the Olympics getting ready to start on 08.08.08. Even as simple as it is, I love the date it’s about to start.
One of the other things I’m looking forward to this year is the ability to really be able to enjoy the highlights of the various events that I will inevitably miss because of work or other responsibilities.
NBC has used the Microsoft Silverlight media technology to make the videos come alive.
