All 1’s, 2’s, and 3’s are still alive. Gus Johnson still has a magnificent voice. And CBS still stinks at switching to and from games.
Most Exciting Game
I can’t quite remember right now, that cbssportsline feed is off the hook good. However, I do not know if this is weird or normal, but I might have burned myself out these last two days. All the competitive games are running together in my mind as the same. I will have to go with Siena v. Ohio State just because I remember the two extra sessions pretty well. They’re fresh in my mind. STAT of the DAY (Feb. 5th)

Haven’t been keeping up on my STAT of the DAY routine I made somewhat, well, routine, back earlier in the season.
But here’s Thursday’s quirky stat…
Ben Woodside of North Dakota State, arguably the best player in the Summit League and a guy who scored 60 earlier in the season, shot a perfect 0-12 from the field against Western Illinois. To Ben’s credit, he did have 6 assists and 3 steals, but that 0′fer is cooky.
Not even close to being cookier than Woodside’s “off” night was the final score, a 61-52 victory on the road for the North Dakota State Bison …read more

STAT OF THE DAY!

Ben Woodside, a North Dakota State guard, poured in 60 on Friday in a tough triple OT loss to Stephen F. Austin.
That is NOT the STAT of the DAY!
STAT of the DAY-
The 35 free throws Ben Woodside attempted.
And if you’re counting, Woodside knocked down 30 of em.
This 30/35 free throw performance just barely beat out the 55 minutes played by Stephen F. Austin’s Josh Alexander.
Way to be a trooper Josh.
Both of these teams play today, by the way.
North Dakota State doubles up opponent

–The NDSU Bison scored 74 in the first half alone against NAIA opponent Mayville St. (128-64) Mississippi Valley State spends about 2 ½ games worth of time reaching 74, usually. MVSU and Mayville St. might be competitive.
–Stephen Curry LAUNCHED 15 three’s against the Sooners yesterday in a 4 point defeat. He only made 6 of them. Taking 29 shots to score 44 points isn’t the type of efficiency a team looks for from their PG.
–Bryant Barr had a lousy game, only connecting on 1-9 field goals.
–Davidson showed their explosiveness for sure. …read more
