In Week 5 of the 2009 NFL season, we saw a couple of historic performances on the football field. Here’s a look at the best of the best NFL performances in Week 5.
QB Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts
This season, Peyton Manning is reminding people that he’s still the best quarterback in the NFL. Week 5 was more proof. Against the Titans, Manning had 309 passing yards to go with three touchdown tosses.

Cowboys Without Williams & Jones in Week 5

When healthy, the Dallas Cowboys have a lot of offensive weapons. In Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Cowboys will be without two of their weapons — wide receiver Roy Williams and running back Felix Jones.
Williams is sidelined due to rib cartilage damage. In total, three of his ribs are hurt. So far this season, Williams has 214 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Missing his second straight week, Jones is battling a knee injury. When healthy, he has been very good — averaging 10.1 yards per rush on 21 carries. However, the second year pro has only been able …read more
