The past week has been a busy week for me. Erm, busy playing Final Fantasy IV on my blue Nintendo DS Lite. However, I managed to catch a trailer of an upcoming DS title called Ninjatown where you have lots of ninjas to defend your town. I wonder if it’s any good to play.

I admit I can’t cook a proper dish in the kitchen although I excel in Cooking Mama. For young Japanese women who never step into the kitchen and prepare a proper meal in their whole lives, Mr Kouzi Aida is their saviour. Aida-san uber-popular easy recipe books have sold millions in Japan and is about time his recipes are heading for Nintendo DS.
Kouchan no Shiawase: Kantan! Oryouri Recipe boasts a cool 300 recipes for users to learn and kick butt in the kitchen. Let’s look at some of the screenshots.
Just looking at the screenshots, I’m drooling like mad. Besides providing …read more
Nintendo DS Shortages

Rut ro, Shaggy!
First Nintendo announced that there were Wii shortages in the U.S. and the U.K..
Not a big deal. They switched the ads in the U.K. so that people would fixate on the DS instead and promised rain checks to us Yanks.
Great!
Except now, Nintendo America has come out and said that they’re worried about possible DS shortages.
That’s bad. Very, very bad.
No word yet if Nintendo is considering a rain check program similar to the one that they implemented for the Wii.
Yet another wonderful reason to get a PS3.

No Wii Ads in the U.K.

If you live in the UK, listen up.
Expect to see a lot more ads for the Nintendo DS on your telly.
Nintendo is pulling all of their Wii ads and replacing them with ads for the DS due to huge demand and a supply that just can’t seem to keep up.
A spokesman said, “We have been running the campaign all year round, but we want to take a responsible stance this Christmas and not fuel demand”.
Don’t fret my British readers, you can always get the Wii that I wrote about from Ebay.

DS Stomping Everyone in Japan

DS kicked some major console ass last week according to Media Create.
The “little hand held that could”, sold 124,627 in Japan, up from 116,694 the week before.
The next closest system was the Wii with 54362.
Microsoft’s 360 got a thorough spanking and only moved 7117 units.
If the DS keeps on selling like it’s selling, it will beat the PS2’s sales records by early next year.
I guess I’m going to have to jump on the DS bandwagon. The games keep getting better and the system keeps getting cuter and cuter.
And you know, when it comes to choosing a console, I always …read more

It’s officially Black Friday. Since I’m typing this, it’s obvious that I’m not one of the fools standing in line for days. [I value my sleep too much]
I mean, seriously, what’s better than sitting at my computer with a nice hot cup of coffee and writing this?
Anyway, I was on Amazon earlier and found these two cute little puppies.
The Pink DS and the Gold DS are both “Limited Time Offers” and each comes with a free game.
These guys are so tiny and cute that I think every stocking should have one.
Black Friday deals on Amazon start at 6am EST. …read more
