North American automakers have promised that by 2040 all cars sold on this continent will be fully electric vehicles. If that sounds like a far way off for most people, that’s because it is. The report is meerly a ploy to demonstrate to consumers that they are working on our gas shortage/price problem and that things will get better latter on.
If you can’t wit till 2040 you’ll just have to settle for a top of the line, super fuel efficient hybrid vehicle. Able to use electric and gas engines hybrids are seen as the best comprimise using todays limited technology. …read more

The Nissan Altima Hybrid has been somewhat of a dark horse. Only available in 8 states, and in close competition with the widely available Toyota Camry Hybrid, the NAH is quickly becoming a “cult car”.
