North American automakers have promised that by 2040 all cars sold on this continent will be fully electric vehicles. If that sounds like a far way off for most people, that’s because it is. The report is meerly a ploy to demonstrate to consumers that they are working on our gas shortage/price problem and that things will get better latter on.
