Along these lines, make sure you give back to your community in some way this year if you can afford to.  And you don’t need money to give back.  Your time would be greatly appreciated by many organizations.  Today’s society doesn’t put as much of an emphasis on contributing to the greater whole, but it is desperately needed.

If you are volunteering your time and/or money, this blogger thanks you.  If not, I encourage you to pitch in 3 hours in the next 3 months.  If we all do, it makes a big difference.  Doesn’t matter if it’s a poker tournament, science project, home building, clean up, visiting others, cleaning animals, general help, or whatever else as long as the benefit is creating a positive impact on others.
