Tom Yager of InfoWorld is all praises for the new 15″ MacBook Pro. Well almost all praises. There are some minor flaws in an otherwise great notebook.

Desktop and Notebook in One

There were a lot of innovative products in the past 18 months which include netbooks, netbooks with swivel, ultra-portable computers, etc. How about a two in one desktop and laptop?
The Gigabyte M1022 Booktop is a two in one functioning machine. It is both a netbook and a desktop. On travel, take the netbook out and when using it as a desktop, just put it in the base.

Apple Updates Entry Level MacBook

Apple quietly updated it’s entry level MacBook. The white polycarbonate MacBook received a processor upgrade from 2.0 Ghz to 2.13 Ghz. Apart from this it also got an hard drive upgrade. It now packs a 160GB hard drive.

This upgrade puts it up the low end Aluminum MacBook who’s processor is still currently 2.0 Ghz. The update polycarbonate MacBook is now a much better value for money notebook for students with it’s price tag of $999.
The New Microsoft Arc Mouse

I just saw an ad for this new mouse being sold by Microsoft called the Arc Mouse. It seems all the standard features of the mouse you’d expect, but the rear-end of it folds for storage and portability.
The one feature it has that I think is key in a mobile mouse though is the ability to have a tiny USB receiver that you can just leave plugged into your laptop instead of having to remove it.
