The 15-inch MacBook Pro is the best of the tier-one commercial notebooks, full stop. My two complaints — that the SD card sticks out of its slot and the USB ports remain too close together — are overshadowed by the new display, seven-hour battery, faster CPU, and the fact that there is an SD card slot.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro is the best of the tier-one commercial notebooks, full stop. There are cheaper notebooks, but I’d challenge you to find one that’s faster, quieter, and better built than MacBook Pro.

MacBook Family, Image Courtesy of Apple Inc.

I have personally been using the first gen of the 15″ Unibody MacBook Pros and apart from the battery life I’m quite happy with it. It’s truly one of the best built laptops I’ve owned. With the new models, my battery complaints have most likely been answered.

I honestly think that the MacBook Pro is quite possibly the best notebook around, be it PC or Mac. Sure there are faster, more powerful notebooks. Alienware comes to mind but non as refined and well rounded as the MacBook Pro. It simply looks and performs well.

Check out Tom’s InfoWorld article here.

92% full-sized keyboard

Embedded HSDPA Support

Smart Manager Intuitional Setting

Multi-Touch Mousepad

Easy Upgrade for HDD and Memory

This is a very cool concept and probably the could add a swivel to turn this machine into a tablet pc. Increase the computing power and this should be a very good all around computer.

Apple quietly updated it’s entry level MacBook. The white polycarbonate MacBook received a processor upgrade from 2.0 Ghz to 2.13 Ghz. Apart from this it also got an hard drive upgrade. It now packs a 160GB hard drive.

This upgrade puts it up the low end Aluminum MacBook who’s processor is still currently 2.0 Ghz. The update polycarbonate MacBook is now a much better value for money notebook for students with it’s price tag of $999.

I just saw an ad for this new mouse being sold by Microsoft called the Arc Mouse. It seems all the standard features of the mouse you’d expect, but the rear-end of it folds for storage and portability.
The one feature it has that I think is key in a mobile mouse though is the ability to have a tiny USB receiver that you can just leave plugged into your laptop instead of having to remove it.

The one feature it has that I think is key in a mobile mouse though is the ability to have a tiny USB receiver that you can just leave plugged into your laptop instead of having to remove it.

If you do remove it, having a mouse that allows you to store the small received inside the mouse itself is a must in my opinion as well.

Perhaps this profile view really illustrates the size difference and it makes it very obvious how the mouse got it’s name.

I’ve been a huge fan of the Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse since the day I first saw it. Then when I actually purchased one I became even a bigger fan.

I’d be interested in giving this mouse a try though. It looks cool but the key to a good mouse above all else is really how it feels in your hand and responds to your daily use of it with your computer.
