One-handed Center To Play Division I Ball

Kevin Laue knew he was a long-shot. It’s not every day that Division I coaches sign a one-handed center to play for their school. But Barry Rohrssen of Manhattan College figured Laue deserved as much of a chance as any two-handed center.
“We take chances on kids who have poor academic histories, who have disciplinary problems both on the court and off the court,” Rohrssen said, according to ESPN.com. “We give opportunities to players who don’t appreciate them, who take them for granted. For all the right reasons, Kevin deserves this chance, and he should make the most of this opportunity.”
