Iconic film star, Patrick Swayze, has died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 57.  His publicist issued the following statement: “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months.”
I am so sad!  I just wrote about the release of season one of Swayze’s show The Beast for which he received rave reviews.  I thought it was so sad that many critics felt that he delivered the performance but he was soon too unwell to continue and A&E were forced to cancel the show.

I don’t think there are going to be any more seasons after this but The Beast: Season One has been released and I’ve heard great things about the show.  I haven’t had a chance to watch an episode but I probably will check out this box set.
The show stars Patrick Swayze as Charles Barker, an FBI veteran who uses unorthodox methods to bring people to justice.  Of course, his work habits have garnered him a reputation but most people respect him as the best in his field.
