Tax Girl has a very interesting point about this on property tax.  I’m not normally upset about some of my tax dollars going to help other people. After all, there are people out there who are trying, but having a hard time. That’s not an issue. But at the same time, I need some tax savings too. Should I be taxed a little less if I don’t use some services? This sort of ties in with yesterday’s thoughts on how much one should pay for health insurance.

SO, should taxes be assessed a little differently? Would a flat tax be better? And do we really need to tax everything in in our lives from food to WiFi to products bought in other states? And would fewer taxes really result in a better economy?
