After 5 Years, Alan Wake Better Rock

Who says that writers can’t have a good time?
If you’re talking about Alan Wake then you must have no idea what you’re talking about.
Then again, most people’s idea of a good time isn’t going on a search for your fiance after she mysteriously disappears.
From the studio that brought you the Max Payne series comes Alan Wake, “a psychological action thriller”.
The main character [His name happens to be Alan Wake. I know. You're shocked.] is a best-selling suspense author who’s going through a bout of writer’s block and decides to head to a small town to cure what ails him.

Mars-RPG with a lot of Killin’

Mars looks like one of those games that could be amazingly cool or an epic fail.
I’m attracted to it because it’s an RPG and I LOVE a good story. Also, the screenshots that I’ve found look pretty good and the gameplay [at the bottom] looks solid.
You can play the game as Seth, “an elite soldier with a dark past” or as Pandora, “an ambitious technomancer”.

Sporn Promises to Overtake Universe

Who didn’t see this one coming?
When you release a free program that allows everyone and their brother [or sister] to create a creature and then upload it to the internet and YouTube you’re bound to have a few people [or a bunch] who insist upon adding certain “parts” to their creatures.
EA is apparently all up in boobs arms about the “misuse” of their creator and I’m really not sure why EA is so surprised. Once the complete Creator comes out with the game, there’s no telling what kinds of creatures are created with interestingly placed parts.
After the entire game …read more

Horse Racing Sims

In honor of the 140th racing of the Belmont Stakes, I figured that I would give you a short list [in no particular order] of horse racing games. You know, cause if you can’t actually race a horse you might as well play a sim of racing a horse.
#1 Gallop Racer 2006 – Available for the PS2 and it got a rating of B- from 1up.
#2 Horse Racing Tycoon – For PC and it’s definitely a “bargain” at 7 bucks.
#3 Final Stretch-Horse Racing Sim – This bastard is $59.86…hope it’s worth the dough.
#4 Quarter Pole Thoroughbred Racing – I …read more
