Penguin Dating at Match

Penguin books continue to try new things; their latest is definitely something I would not have predicted but it fits well, a dating service with Match, where they have formed penguindating.co.uk
It’s all about matching people based on what books they read, under the premise that shared interests are great for finding a connection.
Penguin have teamed up with match.com to make it easier to pick potential dates online based not just on idle frippery like hair colour and star sign, but on truly important stuff like what books they like

I’m loving Penguin books at the moment, everything they are doing just hits all the right buttons with me on marketing, using digital and social media tools to connect with their customers, building up the brand as well as the individual books. Write a Bond Theme

Books are getting more and more interactive, with their publishers utilising the web to connect to a new audience. One of the latest is a promotion for a new James Bond book, written by Sebastian Faulkes, published later this year. It’s not the book of the film, a Quantum of Solace, but a brand new story called Devil May Care, which gets published on may 28th. To help promote it, Penguin are running a competition on MySpace, to write a theme for the audio book.
