Looks Like Nash Made The Right Decision

Steve Nash came under scrutiny in the off-season when he re-signed with the floundering Phoenix Suns. The two-time NBA MVP figured that he owed the Suns that much. He was with them when they were up, why wouldn’t he stick with them when they were down?
“I was a free agent and it was natural to explore my options,” Nash said, according to ESPN.com. “Some people said I was a little crazy going back to Phoenix because I wouldn’t have as good a chance to win. I liked the team and coaches and I was comfortable.”
From the outset, it looks like …read more

Andre Iguodala the Hero as Sixers Win

Andre Iguodala went from goat to hero in the span of a couple minutes. After missing a pair of free throws that could have given his Philadelphia 76ers the lead, Iguodala made amends by hitting a game-winning jumper in the final seconds to beat the Orlando Magic by a final score of 100-98.

Thaddeus Young Out for the Season

Thaddeus Young, the 20-year-old starting forward for the Philadelphia 76ers, is out for the rest of the regular season due to a sprained ankle. The Sixers are worried that Young may actually miss the beginning of the 2008-09 NBA playoffs.
After a very impressive rookie campaign, Young has had an even more impressive sophomore season. He’s averaging 15.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He’s shooting 49.4% from the field, 34.6% on three-pointers and 74.4% at the free throw line.
This is bad timing for Philadelphia. Currently, the Sixers are in the sixth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Mathematically, …read more

Five Most Disappointing NBA Teams in 2009

1. Toronto Raptors
Coming into this season, many NBA experts believed that the Raptors would be ready to breakout onto the scene and make noise in the playoffs. Not have the Raptors not broken out, they look to be out of the playoff picture completely.
2. Houston Rockets
The Rockets had NBA championship aspirations when the season started. However, now with Tracy McGrady looking like he’s about 45 years old and Ron Artest looking close to retirement, the Rockets appear a long ways away from a championship.
3. Detroit Pistons
The trade for Allen Iverson was supposed to inspire and invigorate the Pistons. …read more

Charles Barkley Video – DUI Arrest

“That’s just turrible. What a knucklehead.”
Charles Barkley likely didn’t have the world’s best New Years after his arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Barkley got popped for his DUI while in Arizona after reportedly attending a party that included such notables as Steve Urkel and Michael Strahan.
If Barkley were commenting on Barkley’s arrest, we’d probably hear two things. First, we’d hear about how turrible it was. Then we’d hear Barkley call Barkley a knucklehead.
The former NBA great of the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers currently works for TNT. If you watch the NBA at …read more
