<p>And because the sites are free, every startup should take advantage of them.</p>

The b5 Business Channel recently got together and wrote <a href="http://www.b5media.com/the-power-of-networking/" target="_blank">a whole lot on the subject</a>.</p>
<p>But here&#8217;s the big problem&#8230; time.  You can easily spend tons of time on these sites, with little to show for it.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s why I use a nifty tool called <a href="http://ping.fm" target="_blank">ping.fm</a>. It allows me to post once on their site &#8211; and it&#8217;s automatically delivered to all my other social networking sites.  I get a ton done, in just a couple of minutes a day. (And boy, people have really noticed how active I am on these sites as a result!)</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the only caveat: ping.fm is in beta mode and you need a special code to use it.  Here&#8217;s the good part. I have the code.  Leave me a comment, and I will share it with you!</p>
