Plaxico Burress shown here with possible head wound form flapping jaw too much
Does the timing get any stranger?
Well, this is the Super Bowl!
“He has an ankle that always has been a problem, but he also has some issues with a knee that off and on in the past has bothered him,” coach Tom Coughlin said. “That’s the thing right now. Between the two of them, that’s why he’s not working. He comes out and tries to go and can’t go.”
Burress loosened up at the start of the nearly two-hour workout …read more

Tom Brady? Does he wear number 23?
Plax stood up and proudly proclaimed the New York Giants winners of the Super Bowl by the score of 23 – 17.
In and of itself, so what.
But we are not in and of anything. 17 points is just not a lot of points for the highest scoring team ever.

Eli Manning led the Giants with accurate passing
A team of heart is a team that you can never count out.
The Giants are a team of heart.
While your intrepid author must admit that it would have been cool to have the aging Brett Favre or the seemingly ageless Brett Favre in the Super Bowl, it is also great to see a team like the Giants make the Super Bowl as well.
Why is it great?
Because once again, the Giants did it with heart. Now they will take that heart to Arizona to …read more

Randy simply points out that New England is the best!
The final score was 38 – 35. The Patriots could breathe again. They had beaten the New York Giants and gone undefeated.
The final game brought a slew of NFL records with it.
In gaining their 19th straight win over two seasons, the Patriots also got record-setting performances from Brady and Moss, including the winning score, a 65-yard bomb with 11:06 remaining. Brady beat Peyton Manning’s mark of 49 touchdown passes by throwing two to Moss against the Giants (10-6), giving the …read more

Plaxico Burress, another one of Michigan States great NFL receivers
The Cleveland Indians win over the Boston Red Sox and there was a Monday Night Football game. On a night of playoff baseball, the Monday Night game was a dud.
That was kind of the feeling during the game.
You had Peyton Manning’s little brother playing against the perennial losing Vick-less Falcons.
The game started out as a battle, but then quickly degraded as the Falcons were unable to mount any sort of …read more
