Sony announces PS3 Slim

In September, those who’ve been waiting to take the PlayStation 3 plunge might want to ante up. The PS3 Slim was announced today, a thinner, more compact version of the PS3 (which has been criticized in the past for its behemoth size). The PS3 Slim will have all of the same functions as the original PS3 — including the integrated Blu-ray player — and will retail for just $299. The PS3 Slim is reportedly 33% smaller than the original.

Fat Princess Coming Just Not Yet

I first read about Fat Princess in a blurb in Game Informer MONTHS ago and then I forgot about it.
It was somewhat controversial when the first word went out but after a bit, the griping about keeping a princess fat has died down and now people are complaining about Fat Princess not being released.
According to Destructiod and Playstation’s blog, the game is still coming…eventually.

As a result, Microsoft will be able to satisfy demand of up to three million units in the three months to June, compared with 1.5 million in the first quarter, the paper reported.
Good, now I shouldn’t have any problems getting one for my birthday in July. I wonder what the latest news from Sony will be on the pending release of the PS3 by then.
