Arnie Gears Up for 80th Birthday Party

The official “Arnold Palmer 80th Birthday Tour” is coming to a city near you. Well, to Orlando and Pittsburgh at least. Arnold Palmer, if you can believe it, is turning 80 years old this year. September 10th to be precise. And since 80 is such a milestone, Palmer has decided to turn his birthday into a week-long celebration, an honor befitting someone as popular and beloved as Arnie.
The festivities kick off in Orlando, home of the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women and Children, a medical center that Palmer helped found. The hospital crew will host a breakfast celebration for Palmer. …read more
The Pittsburgh Pirates and College Basketball Do Not Mix

This is one of those rare moments where two of my favorite pasttimes meet – Major League Baseball and college basketball.
But unfortunately for the wrong reasons.
West Virginia University basketball players Joe Mazzulla and Cameron Thoroughman were busted at PNC Park at a Pittsburgh Pirates game for underage drinking and for fighting on Monday according to The Associated Press and ESPN.com.
It’s one thing to be busted for underage drinking. I guess a lot of people do it. But fighting too?
