I was about to start my “drive by podcast” project with my iBook, which is really podcasting from the weirdest places like at the back of a taxi, in the bathroom, etc. At that time I was in a local karaoke joint and wanted to podcast the poor singing talent of my friends. So I un-slept my ‘book, launched GarageBand and tried recording.

Nothing. Damn. And being so used to recording stuff, I just left the whole thing on. I later on figured out that my internal microphone was broken. Yeah that small pin hole to the right of the iBook screen. Mind you, that’s not the reset button dude. (I’ve seen some people kiss the speakers, thinking its the mic. hehe no worries).

So the microphone is broken. Thanks AppleCare. But the crux of the situation is – do I bring it in now when its just the mic knowing that the whole computer works. And bringing it in would mean losing access to my mobile life for about a week or two.

Decisions, decisions.
