Here are some common situations where you might be wondering what your odds of winning are.
If you have a pocket pair and miss the flop, the odds of hitting your set on the river is 4%. Obviously the odds are 4% on the turn as well. Your combined odds are 8% of hitting a set after an empty flop while holding a pocket pair.
Open ended straight draw makes you 17% for the turn or river. You have a combined chance of 32% for hitting your straight after the flop altogether.
A flush is 19% and 35% under the same scenario.

This is a really cool poker calculator courtesy of PokerNews.com. With the calculator, you can see your odds of winning your hand in any given seat with any hand on any flop and any turn. Very easy to use and the best poker tool of it’s kind I’ve come across.
The ease of use comes from the ability to click on your seat and create your hand using the mouse. You can create any situation by delegating your opponents certain hands or not being able to see their cards at all.

I found a cool poker blog over at LasVegasVegas.com/pokerblog. The blog gives you an insiders look into all the major casino rooms with pictures, buy-ins, schedule, and a little bit of history as well as some play by play action of events. There is also a page offering poker odds on almost every starting hand on a 10 player table.
Obviously, the home of the site focuses on Vegas, but this adds to the pages as you can use the info to plan a trip to Las Vegas. (One can dream.) What would be cool is a live web cam taking …read more

In case you haven’t thought about it in a while, it’s nice to look over hard odds and numbers on what a hand can develop into based on numbers. A lot of these you come to feel in your head without thinking from memorization, but it’s still good to stare at and review a little, just for context.
