Tay Zonday Sings Weezer’s Pork and Beans

Weezer frontman and songwriter Rivers Cuomo is a geek. That’s why the video for their latest single, Pork and Beans, features YouTube stars and memes.

Kevin Nalts points out that the lyrics fit the independent spirit of online video. Check out the chorus:

Previously, the Barenaked Ladies featured YouTube stars in the video for their single, Sound of Your Voice. While YouTube star power felt a bit tacked on to that song, this song sounds far more appropriate. I never thought I’d see Miss Teen South Carolina in such a favorable light… saber.
