Remember test chamber 14 in Portal? Yes, the tricky one with all those long corridors that eats up a lot of time as you move the companion cubes. That chamber. Well, a gamer named KingpinSYD just posted a YouTube video of someone (he claims he did it) going through the chamber in four seconds.
The video’s quite choppy and everything happened so fast. From the looks of things, the gamer merely opened a portal on the floor immediately after exiting the elevator that leads to chamber 14. The portal led directly to the next elevator that leads to chamber 15.

There’s a new Portal map from Bethesda. Well, it’s not officially from the game developer, but from Daryl Brigner, one of their designers to be exact. Yes, when Daryl isn’t busy working on Fallout 3, he’s cooking up maps to 2007’s best first-person game.
Ren_Test3 is Daryl’s new map, and it’s available for download. Apparently, it’s not the designer’s first Portal map because according to Bethesda’s blog, Daryl has included Ren_Test 1 and 2.
To install the maps, extract the Ren_Tests.bmz anywhere you want. Load up Portal, click “Bonus Maps” click “Import Bonus Maps”, navigate to where the Ren_Tests.bmz file is located, [...]
Post from: EveryJoe

Yes, Portal is awesome. Yahtzee loves it. I love it. Everyone loves it. Thus, MTV asks the inevitable question: do you want a sequel?
If you asked a game publisher, they would naturally say yes. If you asked any gamer who knows Portal, they might say yes. If you asked me, I would say no.
Can’t we just leave an excellent game alone? Must we look for a sequel and just end up disappointed that its successors got worse at each outing?
Sure, a sequel may address some of Portal’s flaws. A sequel could also totally destroy it. No, I don’t want a [...]
Post from: EveryJoe

Sure, a sequel may address some of Portal’s flaws. A sequel could also totally destroy it. No, I don’t want a Portal franchise that would be milked like Mario, Sonic, Zelda, or Gordon Freeman.
