Robert Morris and Portland State get Invites

Robert Morris (24-10) ended a 17-year drought by advancing to the Big Dance in a low-scoring 48-46 win against Mount St. Mary’s (19-13) for the Northeast Conference championship last night.
Dallas Green (wasn’t he once the Philadelphia Phillies manager?) grabbed a loose ball and went the distance for the game winning score.
Congrats to Robert Morris, but don’t get too excited. Chances are you will be the one playing in the play-in game against, I’m guessing, Morehead State to see who makes the official 64.

5′6 Dominguez lets em’ fly

In Portland State’s upset over Gonzaga on Tuesday evening, Jeremiah Dominguez (a one time Portland Pilot) scored a season high 25 points, stemming mainly from the 7 long balls he drained.
Zag’s point guard Jeremy Pargo struggled a bit, scoring just 11 on 3-8 shooting.
Very recently I have noticed a lot of players under 5′9 who are seemingly doing great things for their respective programs. Or maybe I’m just now noticing smaller players as equally as I notice the giants when scanning through unfamiliar rosters and such.
