If you go in expecting to lose, it doesn&#8217;t necessarily change the cards, but it can affect your brain, the way you respond to events, putting yourself in spots you normally wouldn&#8217;t be in, etc. The more &#8216;in favor of yourself&#8217; you can be, the more power you would seem to effect.</p>
