Make It Personal – Include the personal connection you made during the interview, to remind the interviewer what a likeable person you are, and also to remind them that you will fit in well with their team.

Hand Address the Envelope – Sure, you probably have some really nice return address labels, but if you take the time to hand address the envelope AND the thank you note, you’ll be even more memorable.

Re-connect to your specialty – If you have a specific skill that you spent a large part of the interview talking about, or that the hiring manager said was one of the keys to success, in 1 sentence, re-connect to your specialty to remind them that you are the best choice.
