Excited About Ubisoft Canada?

Ubisoft has expanded in Toronto Canada headed by Yannis Mallat who was the CEO that produced popular games like Assasin’s Creed and Prince of Persia.

The Ontario government is in full support to the gaming company by adding CA$263 million dollars over the next 10 years which would also contribute to around 800 jobs in the next 10 years.
It is not yet clear what Ubisoft would be producing but it is said to be around the area of media films which is slightly different to their conventional games.

Prince of Persia E3 Trailer

I just downloaded this video from Steve via the PSN and have to say that I’m blown away. I had read about the new Prince of Persia game in Game Informer and was really impressed with the new artistic direction that the creators are taking with Prince of Persia.
The style is like a mix between Okami and Assassin’s Creed.

Prince of Persia Movie

There have been ten Prince of Persia games. [eleven if you count Prince of Persia Classic]
And, as if that wasn’t enough Prince of Persia craziness for you, now, there’s talk of a movie.
Actually, “talk” makes it sound like it’s a rumor.
Nope. Not a rumor.
Jerry Bruckheimer is set to direct the movie that is still in preproduction.
Jordan Mechner, creator of the series, is cagey about a possible game tie-in with the movie.  “Sorry, but I can’t answer that question!” screams “Hell, yeah there’s going to be a game” to me.  How about you?
