UConn and Memphis will be squaring off in the championship game of the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic at MSG this evening, and I wanted to do a running commentary of the game. I want to see if Derrick Rose is the real deal, and if Memphis can challenge for the national title this season.

One of the most popular sporting events in the world is the NCAA basketball tournament. March Madness. Bracketology. One Shining Moment. Princeton versus Georgetown.
For two weeks in March, it captivates the American sports scene. College basketball is kind for those two weeks.
Apparently, The Gazelle Group believes that more college basketball in March is a good thing. They announced The College Basketball Invitational, which will compete directly with the NIT for the scraps that the NCAA tournament didn’t want.
In total, there will be 113 teams now playing in post-season basketball tournaments.
