This past week I missed the fact that due to the Thanksgiving holiday, The Ultimate Fighter was not going to air. Instead, we saw replays of the last two episodes. You’ll have to wait until next week to see back to back episodes. December 3rd is also WEC 37 with Manny Tapia vs. Miguel Torres.
WEC 37 starts at 8 pm with 4 fights to air so it should be over by the time The Ultimate Fighter comes on at 10 pm on Spike TV. This Torres Vs. Tapia fight should be a great fight. Also Brian Bowles will be …read more

MMAJunkie.com reports that some MMA agents are uniting to try to stop Showtime from auctioning the contracts of Elite XC fighters. ProElite closed it’s doors last last month and Showtime had invested money into ProElite and Elite XC and is owed compensations for the fall out. However, the MMA agents are fighting the legality of Showtime’s attempts to auction off the contracts as part of the ProElite liquidation. Here is an excerpt from the letter:

This time one of those moves backfired on him and he got caught with an enormous right hand with a lot of velocity behind it. Mike Brown was smart enough to finish …read more

MMAJunkie.com reports that the auction for ProElite will happen in Los Angeles later this month and all "tangible and intangible assets". Unfortunately or maybe not, this includes contracts of the fighters currently signed to EliteXC.
The sale will include contracts with a number of EliteXC fighters, including Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson, Gina Carano, Jake Shields, Robbie Lawler, Frank Shamrock and many others.
I expect Kimbo to take a huuuuge pay cut. Maybe we’ll see him on season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter, but that’s highly unlikely. Dana white has expressed interest in Jake Shields and I wish WEC or UFC could …read more

Nope, but it will be up for public auction. MMAWeekly reports:
In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing dated Nov. 4, executives from Showtime Networks and parent company CBS Corporation announced that the assets of Pro Elite, Inc. would be sold to the highest bidder in a public auction scheduled for Nov. 17.
So there you go. Any chances of ProElite or EliteXC promoting any future fights are now in the hands of some one with a fat wad of cash. This is kind of strange seeing that just recently they told a few fighter’s managers that they would be promoting …read more
