Last night’s WWE Raw opened with Diva action as the gorgeous Kelly Kelly and Candice Michelle took on Jillian Hall and Kadie Lea: Kelly Kelly hits Jillian with a Rocker Dropper for the win.

Chris Jericho comes out next in a suit with the belt over his shoulder and demands that Lillian Garcia announce him to the ring as the champion. He then goes on to state his disgust for lack of respect. Batista comes out laughing and asking him if he serious and if he’s really demanding respect. Batista says you don’t demand respect and the only way he’ll be respected is if he beats Batista at Cyber Sunday. He them tells Jericho to shut his mouth or he’ll shut it for him.

Mike Adamle comes to the ring and tell them to save it for Sunday. He says tonight will determine who get’s respect when they compete against the same opponent in a Gauntlet Match that will be an "Adamle Original". Jericho slaps Batista and flees the ring and says, "There’s your first lesson in respect."

JBL Vs. "Stone Cold Steve Haastin": JBL hits Haastin with a clothesline from heel for the win.

Rey Mysterio Vs. Snitsky: Rey hits the 619 and pins Snitsky for the win.

John Morrison and The Miz Vs. CM Punk and Kofi Kingston: Morrison and Miz win after Miz rolls up CM Punk.

Santino and Beth Phoenix come to the ring and Santino is dressed like Gold Dust, Piper and the Honkey Tonk man all in one. He rattles off a bunch of disrespectful stuff about the veteran wrestler and then Hacksaw Jim Duggan comes to the ring and says he tired of him disrespecting the legends. (By this time it’s obvious that the entire show is based around respect and starting to sound like TNA with Sting crying about respect…blah). Duggan says Santino wouldn’t be champion if it wasn’t for his Boyfriend Beth. Santino starts to take off the Goldust, Piper and Honky Tonk garb and tells beth to hold it…he then says that Maybe they should give ti to Duggan and throws him the clothes, when Duggan goes to catch it, Santino smashes the guitar (Honky Tonk garb) over Duggan’s head, knocking him out.

Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase w/Manu Vs. Cryme Tyme. Match never happened. Rhodes, Dibiase and Manu attacked Cryme Tyme before the match go started and left them lying there.

This next "Gauntlet Match" was kind of stupid and this whole raw seemed like a waste of time, really.

Batista beats Regal, Jericho beats regal, Jericho loses to Mark Henry by DQ, Batista pins Mark Henry, Kane Beats Jericho, Batista beats Kane….WTF was all that just about. INcredibly boring and confusing at the same time. If this was really Mike Adamle’s idea then he should be fired because it sucked. It wasn’t fun nor interesting and if tonight’s Raw ratings suck, it’s no wonder.

TNA Bound For Glory Aired live from Sear Center in Chicago Illinois last night. While I didn’t have a chance to watch the Pay-Per-View, here are the results.
The return of the Steel Asylum Match. In case you haven’t caught a Steel Asylum match in the past, they have this huge domed cage and to win you have to climb out of the hole in the top of the dome.

Even for someone who is fresh in the ring and not fatigued, this is a tough task. The winner goes on as the number 1 contender for the X Division Championship. The participants were: Sonja Dutt, Johnny Devine, Jay Lethal, Chris Sabin, Jimmy Rave, Shark Boy, Curry Man, Petey Williams, and Super Eric.

Winner and #1 contender for the X Division Championship: Jay Lethal

Rhino, Rhaka Khan & ODB vs. Beautiful People & Cute Kip was a Knockout Bimbo Brawl with special enforcer Traci Brooks.

Winners: Rhino, Khan and ODB by way of Rhino gore in Cute Kip (You know, WWE and WCW always did pretty good about coming up with some pretty cool names, but TNA has a certain cheese factor with names like "Cute Kip, "Shark Boy" and "Curry Man". Makes me wonder sometimes)

TNA X-Division Championship match: Current Champion Abdul Bashir Vs. Consequences Creed.

Winner: Sheik Abdul Bashir retains the title by roll-up and ring rope leverage cheat.

3 way TNA Knockout Division Championship: Current Champion Taylor Wilde Vs. Awesome Kong Vs. Roxxi.

Winner: Taylor wins and retains her title when Roxxi attempts her finisher, but Taylor counters with a bridge suplex and pins her.

Monsters Ball Tag Team Match For the TNA Tag Team Title: Current Champions Beer Money, Inc. Vs. LAX Vs. Team 3D Vs. Abyss and Matt Morgan with special guest ref. Steve "Mongo" McMichael.

Winners: Team 3D gives LAX’s Hernandez a 3D through a table, Beer Money Inc.’s Roode sneaks in for the pin on Hernandez. Beer Money Inc. Wins and retains titles.

Triple Threat Match: Christian Cage Vs. AJ Styles Vs. Booker T

Winner: Booker T hits Cage with an Ax kick and pins him for the win. (Booker T has gone from a bad-ass black street brawler from Harlem heat to British royalty to African royalty? Who comes up with this stuff? Harlem Heat was an awesome tag team back in the days of WCW)

TNA Grudge Match: Kurt Angle Vs. Jeff Jarrett with Mick Foley as special enforcer.

Winner: Jarrett wins with a guitar shot to Angles head and a 3 count from Foley.

TNA Championship Match: Current Champion Samoa Joe Vs. Sting

Winner: Sting after a surprise appearance by Nash when he hits Samoa Joe with the bat. Sting gets the Scorpion Death Drop and 3 count.

Not a whole lot of Championship exchanges went ton here tonight. Kind of reminded me of some late 90’s WWF pay-per-views. This is why WCW was doing so well in the mid 90’s. WWE PPV’s got boring and people started getting pissed because they didn’t see the matches go the they wanted. Soon after though the WCW started to go downhill fast doing the same thing. Wrestlers started jumping ship and soon after the WCW belonged to Vinny Mac. Still sounded like a fun event though. Wish I could have seen it, but I have to save my PPV money for UFC events, where I feel like I get more of my moneys worth.

On another note, the BFG promo with everyone dressed liked 1930’s gangster, and Kurt Angle saying "Someone messes with me, I’m gonna mess with them" had to be one of the cheesiest promo commercials I have ever seen.

Last month it was quite a shock when it was announced that The Nature Boy was leaving WWE. Not many people thought they would ever see Rick Flair in the WWE again…that was until the demise of WCW. It’s almost hard to believe it’s been 7 years since WCW went under. In an interview with Charlston.Net, Flair comments (see below) about his departure with the WWE and his new talent agent Elaine Gillespie, who is brand new to working in the world of Professional Wrestling.

“The time was right for me to make a change, try a new approach and go for some new opportunities. No one respects the WWE more than me. They have created a remarkable brand in business and sports entertainment. I just felt it was time for Ric Flair to go out and try some new things. I was thinking that I need the right person to help me be successful in the next chapter of my life,” Flair said. “And that person is Elaine Gillespie.”

Will we see Flair in TNA? Maybe, maybe not. Rumors will fly and rumors will be shot down. You never really know until you hear it from a credible source.

First I would like to introduce myself. My name is Scott. I live in North Carolina but I grew up in Upstate New York. I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps, 6.5 years in the United States Army and 2 in the NC Army National Guard. Now I’m a free man and full time blogger for b5 with two blogs in the Music Channel, one in the Health and Wellness Channel and now one here. My wife, Dexie writes for a bunch of blogs here at b5 as well. WE have a 10 year old boy and a 2 year old girl. Now enough of about me…

I used to be a huge Wrestling fanatic awhile back but have since kind of made Monday night raw something to watch every now and then. However it looks as if I’ll be getting back into the game as well as bringing a whole lot of MMA to Jab And Grapple. I follow a lot of UFC but I really like the WEC and watching Tapout too. I use to come here every now and then when MMA was covered by the writer awhile back and I was kind of disappointed that it wasn’t covered here anymore.

Well it’s back and I’ll do my best to bring the latest news, fight schedules and results the best I can. I’ll cover the wrestling shows as much as humanly possible and see if I can’t pick up some spoilers when I can! It might be a bit of a bumpy start, but bear with me. It will get a whole let better!

Cheers, ~Scott
