ECW Preview

ECW Preview

Last week on ECW Bobby Lashley faced Hardcore Holly. Lashley came out on top but Snitsky appeared to revenge Holly’s loss. This week we will get a rematch between Hardcore and Lashley but this time it is going to be under extreme rules. For ECW to have extreme in their name yet seemingly move away from the concept seemed absurd to me but I am glad to see they are bringing it back tonight for the main event.
Also tonight, expect more clashes between the ECW originals and the “New Breed” ad I would expect a full fledged feud to continue.

“This is TNA” Special Tonight

TNA is airing a special entitled “This is TNA” tonight in order to try to attract new viewers to its wrestling program. The move comes almost entirely because Monday Night Raw will not be on tonight due to conflicting program. Here is a list of the fights that will be shown via TNA’s website:

NWA World Heavyweight Title Match – Career vs. Title
Jeff Jarrett vs. Sting
NWA World Tag Team Title Match – Six Sides Of Steel

Against All Odds Results: Cage Retains

Obviously the biggest news from this match was Christian Cage retaining the title as the feud between him and Angle will in all likely continue at least until the next PPV. I am thinking the Sting/Abyss storyline is done but we will have to wait until Thurday’s show to find that out. Impact this week is going to be rough as they will be directly against Raw, especially after TNA just wrapped a PPV. Looks like I’ll have to do some channel flipping. Anyways here are the results from the PPV via TNA’s website:

– Preshow: Serotonin defeated Sonjay Dutt …read more

SmackDown Recap

Undertaker def. Miz
Deuce & Domino def. London & Kendrick (non-title)
Joey Mercury def. Matt Hardy
Finlay def. Boogeyman
Daivari def. Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms (non-title)
World Heavyweight Champion Batista def. Mr. Kennedy

There were some unanswered questions this week after SmackDown. Perhaps the most pressing is what other matches are going to be added to No Way Out. Added this week to the card were a Four Team Ladder Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship between WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick, William Regal & Dave Taylor, MNM, and The Hardys. Also added last night was a Kane v. Booker singles …read more

TNA iMPACT! Preview – February 8th, 2007

Tonight’s main event on impact will be Christian Cage and AJ Styles taking on the team of Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe. The match is a follow up to the action at the very end of last weeks episode when all four were in the ring following the no contest between Joe and Styles.
Abyss will face Chase Stevens of the Naturals in a singles match tonight. The match will serve as preperation for Abyss’ prison yard match with Sting at Against All Odds. It will be interesting to watch this one to see if Sting makes a special appearance at …read more

ECW Recap – February 6th, 2007

Apparently ECW’s idea to reform the show is to have a feud between the “New Breed” and the “ECW Originals”. Considering how little this show seemed to have going for it this may not be a bad move, I’ll at least give it a fair chance. The originals include RVD, Sabu, Sandman, and Tommy Dreamer while the new breed includes Marcus Corvon, Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorn, and Matt Striker.
Mr. McMahon said coming into last nights episode that he was going to “Punish” the ECW orginals. Their punishment? Some of them would be in matches on the show but the catch …read more

ECW Preview – Fubruary 6th, 2007

Yet another vague ECW preview this week. Last night on Raw Bobby Lashley successfully defended the title against someone other than Test. He beat Kenny Dykstra, the challenger, pretty easily but more was said on the Raw show.
Johnathan Coachman, one of Mr. McMahons Henchmen said that there would be some reprecutions from Vince tonight on ECW. If you remember last week Mr. McMahon made his first appearance on the show only to dis the ECW originals and praise Elijah Burke. After giving Burke and extreme beatdown the Originals appeared to have the last laugh, that was until now. Balls Mahoney was put in …read more

Monday Night Raw Preview – February 5th

Tonights Raw should go a long way in answering the differing reports on what matches will be going down at Wrestlemania in a few weeks. undertaker will open up tonights episode supposedly to announce his opponent for his match. Now he may very well announce his opponent tonight but the suspense may also be continued. WWE seems to have made a really good storyline and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it continue for another week or so. He can choose from Bobby Lashley from ECW, John Cena from Raw, or Batista from SmackDown with my vote going towards him …read more

Best of CM Punk…What’s Next?!?!?!

Okay maybe it is just me and my ‘lack’ of wisdom but is CM Punk worthy of a DVD already. He has only been on ECW since its revival a few months ago and has never appeared on either of the other two shows. Does this seem a little rushed or am I just missing something?
I did a bit of research into Punk’s past to see what might have made him worthy of a DVD already. CM Punk is apparently very well known on the independent circuit especially while performing for the Ring of Honor promotion. He is considered one …read more
