Professionalism in Poker – Yeah Right

I’ve harped on players treating what used to be a gentlemen’s game into first grade play ground.  Now it looks like the World Poker Association is trying to step up and get things done.  Never heard of ‘em.  Maybe that’s because they’re non-profit, but regardless they’re trying to set some global standards for poker play.
Among their interests are getting one set of uniform rules, better playing conditions and ethics, having one voice speak for the interests of all poker players and securing sponsors to make prize pools even larger.  Hey I’m right there with them.  I think this is all …read more
