Clausen to Start on Sat Despite Punch

Notre Dame fans just can’t take it anymore. I get it…but some people are taking their angry feelings too far. While out at a bar on Sunday morning, quarterback Jimmy Clausen was sucker punched by a fan who was apparently not happy with his performance this past weekend. Says athletic director Jack Swarbrick,
“He was not engaged in a fight. He didn’t throw any punches. He didn’t directly engage the individual. He just got coldcocked by somebody, and we’re very disturbed by that.”
Clausen was reportedly out with his family and girlfriend after the team’s double-overtime loss to Connecticut earlier that day. …read more
Penalties Too Harsh for LeGarrette Blount?

Everyone’s still talking about about LeGarrette Blount’s hot head after the Oregon – Boise State game on Thursday night. As one of the first games of the season, I personally think that it’s a shame that people will remember it for the punch and not for the actual game. Oregon has a lot to learn in the next week, and little of it has to do with tempers. Most of it has to do with their offense not completely sucking.

Why a Lot of Muscular Guys Are Bad Fighters

Many people see a big muscular guy and comment, “Wow I wouldn’t want to fight him.” As intimidating as stronger individuals may seem, strength translates to ability to fight as much as skinny means you can’t fight. It’s true brute strength is a great advantage in a skirmish, but because so many weight lifters neglect other facets of training, they’re lacking beyond muscles.
