Stafford Works Out with Lions Today

Today, quarterback Matt Stafford is in Detroit at a private workout with the Lions. Since they have the number one pick, all eyes are on this team. The Lions definitely need some talent, but at the same time, it might not make sense for them to pick a quarterback first, especially when they have, in my opinion, greater needs in other positions.

Favorite For Ravens Starting QB? Troy Smith

Remember him? You know, the Heisman trophy winning QB from The Ohio State University and the last pick in the 5th round of the NFL draft. James Walker of ESPN.com is reporting that Troy Smith is the favorite to win the starting job for the Ravens so far. Not surprising (and I’m not saying this because I’m a Buckeye fan) since Kyle Boller seems to have had his shot and Joe Flacco is a rookie. This guy just won’t go away now will he? I guess I could stop talking about him but it’s like a train wreck. As much as I want to look away, I just can’t.
ESPN is reporting that the New York Jets obtained permission to speak to Brett Favre. Brett Favre a Jet? Brett Favre in New York?
