After a crazy end of the work week, things have started to settle down in MMA land … at least for now. But for now let’s get into some more Quinton Rampage Jackson drama.
It’s never a dull time with Rampage … just a few weeks ago he made waves after dry humping an obviously uncomfortable female reporter, and let’s not forget his crazy chase from the police that resulted …read more
Quinton Jackson vs Rashad Evans in December

We’re now up to month number seven of 2009 but the UFC is working hard to fill up their calendar until 2010, locking down a number of big fights for the end of the year. Tops is the battle of Ultimate Fighter 10 coaches Rashad Evans and Quinton Jackson, who will clash at UFC 107 in Memphis on December 12th. I’m extra hyped for this because my parents live in Tennessee too so I can use them as an excuse to see the UFC. Or is that supposed to be the other way around? Sorry mom.

It looks like Quinton Jackson may be returning to court, according to a report on TMZ.com. A civil suit has been brought against him by the women who’s vehicle he hit in an incident over the summer. The interesting case, dubbed Rampage’s Rampage by mixed martial arts fans, saw a delusional Jackson lead police on a high speed chase across town in a custom built monster truck. He would later be checked into a mental health facility, where he tested negative for drugs and alcohol and was diagnosed as having suffered a psychotic break.
Because of this, Rampage avoided jail time. …read more

We won’t know for sure until next week, but there is some speculation that is might just be the new UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida and former champ Quinton Jackson, whom he’ll be defending his title against at UFC 101.
According to MMAWeekly.com, UFC President Dana White wouldn’t let one word slip as to who would be the next coaches.
UFC president Dana White was asked point blank if the coaches for the tenth season of the show had been picked, and while he was able to confirm they have been chosen, he wouldn’t divulge any names.

UFC 96 Fight Card Filling Up

UFC 96 is set for March 7th in Columbus, Ohio. As most know, the main event of the evening will be Keith Jardine Vs. Quinton Jackson in a light-heavyweight match.
Other confirmed televised main card fights are: Matt Hammill Vs. Mark Munoz and Shane Carwin Vs. Gabriel Gonzaga.
Preliminary card events include: Mike Patt Vs. Brandon Vera and Tim Boetsch Vs. Jason Brilz.
Kind of odd seeing Brandon Vera on a preliminary card. The Jardine and Jackson fight should be interesting as well as seeing the return of Matt Hammill.
