We don’t know why, and few on the blogosphere do (from what we’ve read), but South Carolina QB Stephen Garcia got quite the bump . . . from referee Wilbur Hackett Jr.  The mysterious incident took place during Saturday’s game against LSU.

The soccer player in this news clip (1m, 3s) did his impression of McGruff the Crime Dog on Opposite Day: instead of taking a bite out of crime, he committed a crime by taking a bite.
Huh?
To him, getting thrown out of a soccer game is apparently grounds for biting the ref who red-carded you. There’s no footage of the event but there are some eyewitness accounts and some ridiculous justification quotes from the guy and his mama.
