This week NASCAR heads to Waktins Glen International for one of their two road course races of the season on the Sprint Cup Series schedule. The race comes just one week after NASCAR made history for itself when they raced in the rain last Saturday in the Nationwide Series in Montreal, which most critics feel came off as a huge success. As of right now there are no plans to break out the rain tires on Sunday, but there’s still plenty to look forward to with just five races remaining until the cutoff for the Chase.

Well, the Sprint Cup Series returns to action this week, and what do ya know – seemingly overnight stories start surfacing once again. Funny how that works, eh? And Justice for All?

NASCAR made their ruling in the case of Carl Edwards and his no. 99 Office Depot team for an incident following the race in Vegas in which NASCAR inspectors discovered that the lid on his oil tank was completely removed. The decision made by NASCAR has resulted in the loss of 100 driver points and 10 Chase bonus points for Edwards, 100 owner points for Jack Roush, crew chief Bob Osborne has been suspended for the course of six races, and the team was also fined $100,000 on top of it all. 2/20 – After failing to attain full-time sponsorship to run in the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series for Bill Davis Racing, former F1 Series Champion Jacques Villeneuve has reportedly contacted former IndyCar team owner Barry Green. Green will work with Villeneuve to find the right sponsors so that he may continue his pursuit to find full-time in rides in either or both of the series. Read More.
