A lot it seems. Louis Gray chronicles it here. A run down of what the new management, Drew Olanoff, Thomas Connors and Adam Ostrow, is doing is nothing short of impressive.
Consider the following things done or implemented or introduced:
1. A new site interface
2. a breaking news page
3. a Breaking news feed on Twitter
4. a ReadBurner weekly podcast.
5. and support for Netvibes.
6. Widgets

What is interesting is that the competition seems to be heating up with RSSmeme.

RSS plus meme = RSSmeme, It is a simple as 1 + 1 = 2. And so it seems, RSSmeme was developed by Benjamin Golub and is sort of an aggregator that collects and collates entries from RSS feeds based on Google Reader shared feeds – those submitted and those automatically added.
It is an interesting application or service.

Stories or post aggregated are grouped, tagged and viewed as This Week, Popular, and Recent.
Stories or post aggregated are grouped, tagged and viewed as This Week, Popular, and Recent. RSSmeme seems to provide the viewer a snapshot of what is going on in the blogosphere and the Web based on Google Reader shared feeds. The service even provides statistics or numbers based on:

Users

Sources

Authors

Tags

But how does it work? According to Golub:

No it was not difficult. I have a script that runs every 5 minutes and grabs the oldest 50 feeds using Universal Feed Parser and slaps the entries into a database. [Source]

The service is similar to ReadBurner (which will be relaunched soon) and Golubs admits it with a note that this was a project, a puzzle and an endeavor he could not resist to do … voila RSSmeme!

So is it an aggregator or something different?
