Jason Freeny at Moist Production does some of the most amazing digital work that is so detailed it looks like it should come from an anatomy book. But, it’s gummy bear, balloon animals and Sackboy anatomy.
Cool, no?
At Moist Production, you can download Desktop wallpapers, iPhone wallpapers and even buy t-shirts and original prints.
Pretty freakin’ awesome if you ask me.

Can it be true? It turns out that the PlayStation 2 has now reached an incredible milestone, selling an astounding 50 million units in North America. Too bad there are no new big titles on the horizon, as Persona 4 was probably the last big game for the console. Here are today’s headlines:

It turns out that not only is Loco Roco 2 coming soon, it’s going to be cheap, as the game will retail for just $19.99.

PiexlJunk Eden will getting a patch soon that will fix some of the problems that players have been having with the PSN title. But even better, an “Encore” edition of the game will be released at some point, which should include all kinds of new goodies.

Good news for Sackboy fans, as the LittleBigPlanet star can now be yours with a little bit of work. And by work I mean knitting.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is finally coming to the PS3, and to make up for the delay, it will be an Ultimate Edition of the real time strategy game.

Let’s see what happens when I blog with a fever of 101. Magic, I’m sure.
Sorry the blog has been so scarce this week; on top of internet connection issues (sort-of resolved), I’ve caught Captain Trips (unresolved). I don’t understand how I can possibly feel so cold when my body’s burning and I’m submerged in a hot bath. On the plus side, when you get chills in a hot bath, the water beads up on your skin and it is keen.
So I’m afraid today’s update will be second-hand, but no less entertaining. It’s by Wardox, a fellow writer I’ve encountered in [...]
Post from: EveryJoe

Sorry the blog has been so scarce this week; on top of internet connection issues (sort-of resolved), I’ve caught Captain Trips (unresolved). I don’t understand how I can possibly feel so cold when my body’s burning and I’m submerged in a hot bath. On the plus side, when you get chills in a hot bath, the water beads up on your skin and it is keen.

So I’m afraid today’s update will be second-hand, but no less entertaining. It’s by Wardox, a fellow writer I’ve encountered in my travels as a mushishi.Five Reasons Why LittleBigPlanet Is Creepy.

Between Sackboy’s willingness to die for his creator and the zombie-party atmosphere of LittleBigPlanet, The list doesn’t discuss what dark secrets are possibly coiled behind Sackboy’s zipper. That’s something I’ve wondered myself.

But the list brings up another, slightly scarier point: the sunny world of LittleBigPlanet will let strangers dive deep into our psyche. People thought you were enough of a dick when you made that David Koresh Mii. With the detailed world of LittleBigPlanet, what will you unwittingly reveal about yourself?

2. [Sackpeople] live inside our imagination and dreams

An innocent enough proposition until you have a think about what your imagination often presents you with. All those private thoughts you have. The more I dwell about this, the less I realised I want a little brown bag running around, over and under my most intimate ideas.

Time to set some ground rules with Sackboyo and designate a “private time” for your thoughts.

How does your significant other feel about you dressing up as Sackboy in the sack? Terrified? Good!
An English web designer by the name of Adam (hey, that’s my brother’s name) has published a full guide for anyone adventurous enough to dress up as Sackboy from the upcoming LittleBigPlanet.
Now, be sure to give your Sackboy costume a great big smile. Adam kindly reminds us that a warm smile is part of Sackboy’s personality:
“Sackboys are extremely cute little characters and a big part of that is their wide, expressive mouths.”
Of course, God loves creativity, so here’s what I suggest.

If you don’t happen to like any of your neighbourhood children, consider leaving the knife in Sackboy’s half-formed mouth before you don your new mask. The knife should puncture you, possibly in the cheek, and your own blood running down your neck will surely delight the little scamps on Halloween.

Bonus points if your eyeball is punctured and blood mingles with ocular fluids.

Think of the fun you’ll have!

Sony is hoping LittleBigPlanet will be enough to coax Ma and Pa Suburban (of the European breed) away from the inevitable Holiday Wii Wars and towards a Playstation 3.
Will a LittleBigPlanet bundle be enough for Mom and Dad to turn the other cheek, or will Dad be squeezing his paunch into battle gear as another Christmas Massacre stirs and lifts its frigid nose into the air?
At any rate, the box art is pretty sweet.

Console mascots have long been a mark of identity and it might say something that Sony’s been searching for a spokesthing since the launch of the PSOne. Nintendo has Mario. Sega had Sonic, though it might want to stop pretending it ever did. Microsoft has finally settled on Master Chief.
Sony, on the other hand, has had some torrid affairs. There was Crash Bandicoot, Lara Croft, Kratos, but no personal property it was willing to call its own.
Until now. Sony has finally settled on a mascot: Sackboy the Hanged Man.

My husband’s horrified that I think of LittleBigPlanet’s cute little Sackboy [...]
Post from: EveryJoe

Sega had Sonic, though it might want to stop pretending it ever did. Microsoft has finally settled on Master Chief.

Sony, on the other hand, has had some torrid affairs. There was Crash Bandicoot, Lara Croft, Kratos, but no personal property it was willing to call its own.

Until now. Sony has finally settled on a mascot: Sackboy the Hanged Man.

My husband’s horrified that I think of LittleBigPlanet’s cute little Sackboy as a hanged prisoner, but damn, people. He…just…has a sack over his head. He looks like something that Offred gazed at in the opening chapters of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale…if the Republic of Gilad had decided to prosecute all beings less than two feet tall in addition to women and Jews.

SCEA marketing manager Mark Valledor says, “We want LittleBigPlanet to lead the charge into a new genre of gaming and turn Sackboy into the next emblematic character for the PS3. This is a very big title for us.”

I respect that; every console needs a visual representation. And the further away we get from the ’90s saturation of furry mascots, the better. Sackboy is certainly the cutest little convict I’ve ever seen, I’ll give him that much.
