Ford in talks to sell Volvo to Geely

Ford has decided that they can no longer keep their money draining auto subsidiary Volvo in their fold. So they are in talks of selling to Chinese automakers Geely. Ford has reported that Volvo has been loosing money and that they are better off if sold to foreign investors.
Volvo, I would assume, would be nervous in such an undertaking. Their legendary design and safety ratings have made Volvo a favorite car for some loyal customers. The deal is worth an estimated $20 billion and could get Ford out of the hole and remain afloat a little longer.

If you’ve been wrestling with the should-I-or-shouldn’t-I? debate of upgrading the ol’ DVD player to a Blu-Ray player, Walmart has reportedly made your decision an eentsy bit easier. The house that Sam built has dropped the Magnavox NB500MGX Blu-Ray/DVD combo player to the rock bottom, record setting price of just $128.

Panic Software, makers of popular Mac software such as Transmit and Coda is having a 3 day sale. Transmit, Coda, CandyBar and Unison are 50% off. The sale period is from 12:01 AM PST May 27th to 11:59 PM PST May 29th.
I took this opportunity to buy Coda. I’ve tried this out before and generally like this software except for the $99 price tag that it carries. So now with the chance to buy it for $49.50, I snapped it up.

Black Friday Bonanza?

Will Apple step up and offer a better deal during the Black Friday sale? Well, for consumers sake let’s hope so.
Black Friday is one of the biggest sales in the United States. Traditionally retailers offer big discounts on items during his day. People line up very early for the chance to shop for big discounts.
Apple has been traditionally conservative during this day. Offering discounts but nothing spectacular. According to the AppleInsider report, Barclays Capital expects Apple to be more aggressive in its sale. Will this come true? I’m hoping it does but I’m not holding my breath.
