(FranchisePick.com) You don’t have to be a barber (or a hair stylist) to own a V’s Barbershop franchise, as is evident in this franchise sales video.
The V’s Barbershop franchise is all about bringing back the old-time barber shop experience. I’m not sure where they grew up, but the barber shop experience I remember didn’t involve pool tables and flat screen TVs. I guess a decor package consisting mostly of wobbly wooden chairs and dog-eared, year-old Sports Afield magazines wouldn’t make for good video.

TANWORLD FRANCHISE: Tanning Reinvented in the Tropics of Nebraska

(FranchisePick.Com) At first blush it might seem odd for a tropical tanning chain to be based, of all places, in Omaha, Nebraska.
At second blush, it makes sense. After all, the tropics don’t need tanning salons. They’ve got… the tropics.
The Midwest has got cornfields… and Tanworld.

Hooray for Hollywood (Tans)
When I toured the franchise headquarters of Hollywood Tans, I immediately awarded them two mental “hoorays!” The first “hooray!” for the unmatched turnkey nature of their franchise concept, and the second for having the good sense not to name their concept after their hometown. “Mt. Laurel Tans,” or even “New Jersey Tans” just doesn’t have the same ring, does it?Regular visits to the tanning salon are now routine for the 28 million who tan indoors each year.
