Wotherspoon chokes

After the his Salt Lake City plunge at the start line of the qualifications of the Men’s 2×500m Speed Skating event, Jeremy Wotherspoon was determined to leave these bad memories behind him.
After all, he won the silver medal at Nagano in 1998.
Well, as it turns out, he didn’t hold up to the challenge. He choked. From a preliminary 5th place after the 1st run, he slipped in 9th overall, even falling behind fellow Canadian Michael Ireland who finished 7th. Other Canadians were Vincent Labrie and Brock Miron who finished 29th and 30th respectively.

Is the 25 medals goal for Canada realistic?

After a promising start with a gold yesterday, Canada had a slow day with a bronze medal. A few athletes underperforming.
In light of this and after 2 days of competition, I would like to know your opinion on Canada’s goal of getting 25 medals in Torino.
In Salt Lake City, Canada got 17 medals, a record in recent Olympics. Now going from 17 to 25 medals would be a 28% improvement. Is that really realistic?
