Sam Cassell Retires, Joins Wizards Staff

After being a late first round pick in the 1993 NBA Draft, not much was expected out of Sam Cassell. But the point guard out of Florida State with the massive amount of confidence more than made a name for himself. Cassell had a great career — but now it’s over.
On Thursday, Cassell retired from the NBA and took a job with the Washington Wizards to become an assistant coach. The Wizards also hired Randy Wittman on Thursday as an assistant coach. Both Cassell and Wittman will be on new head coach Flip Saunders staff.

- LeBron James and the Cavaliers took down the Bulls. The game can be summed in the following clip.
Visual aids are fun. Although, I still prefer the flying toasters screensaver, Mike Tirico.
- The Yao-less Rockets won their 15th straight and Dikembe Mutombo demonstrated that he is indeed still in the NBA by blocking three shots.
- Dirk sunk a three to send the game to overtime, then missed horribly with a similar attempt in overtime. Kobe Bryant scored 52 points.
