New Samsung camera has front-facing screen

Samsung is releasing two new cameras that offer secondary LCD screens on the front of the camera, so you can easily see yourself when taking a self-portrait. Presumably, it has other uses too, like letting your photoed subject see him or herself as the picture is being taken.

The front screen can also be used as a means of getting younger kids to smile, with cute animations like a smiley face or a clown. Both the front and back screens are touchscreens, so you basically tap them to activate. The primary screen on the back utilizes “Smart Gestures” to make adjustments.

Android Powered Samsung Devices

Samsung, top handset maker, has officially announced that they are launching three Android phone this year. Samsung should have built Android phones last year but noted that Google’s vision was a factor to the delay.

Google is known to court carriers to power their handset offering with Android, and despite the slow adoption, Samsung’s decision is one success at a time for the search giant. Verizon has earlier indicated that they are no longer exclusive to LiMo platform.

Looking for a phone?

I went to Samsung’s Mobile Roadshow a week ago and saw the line up of phones they had for the year. And it was a plethora, an over abundance or more appropriately a fullness of mobile phones that day on display. It was basically a cellular phone for every person who needs one and can afford. See’N’search Samsung See’N’search

It shows how Samsung’s See’N’Search set top box works – what is does is scans the channel guide and related meta data and then suggests possible links to the program or shows one is watching. Hmm. Here is a video demonstration of See’N’Search.
