Does anyone else find it funny that the word “Murderer” on the wall is written in blood? It’s like a murderer is pointing out that someone else is a murderer! Now that’s hilarious!

I guess I really can’t complain, seeing that they’ve actually added a bunch of cool new stuff… but a 500 mb patch for a game that’s already been out seems a bit excessive, don’t ya think? Or maybe I’m just being a big old meanie head, which is almost usually always the case.

If you have a pooptastic internet connection and MUST have this patch, because of some game crashing bug or something more sinister, you may get a CD with the patch right on it! That’s right, Got Game Entertainment, the peeps who have published this sphincter reducing game, have taken their customer service to the next level and will send you a CD with the patch. Alls you gotta do is send an email to Got Game’s Tech Support (or you can copy and paste this link: techsupport@gotgameentertainment.com) and put “SDC, CD2″ in the subject line and BAM… a new CD will be on its way… I mean, I’m sure they have to get your address and stuff, but it will eventually be on its way.

Hold Your Horses… You’ll need the Scratches Patches…

Well, if you have been waiting until the very last minute to pick up your copy of the overtly horrifying game, Scratches, then maybe now is the time to go pick it up. According to this article over at Adventure Gamers, the horror thriller has hit stores with the directors cut of the game included. Now we can get to see all the crazy stuff that was left out! And for $19.99, even if you already own the original version of the game, it’s worth buying again because of all the extra cool stuff that is included with the director’s cut.

I wrote a post about this very topic a while back, but for those of you who haven’t read what the Scratches: Director’s Cut includes, here’s the list:

• Alternative original ending
• Exciting new chapter! Before Blackwood Manor is demolished, a reporter sneaks inside the manor to gather clues about the mystery…but what he will find is a terrifying surprise!
• New clues to understanding the story
• New revealing thoughts from the main character in “Michael’s Diary”
• Higher supported resolution
• New default control method with fixed mouse, FPS-like movement

I’d buy the damn game just for the “new clues to understanding the story”, because that game left you high and dry at the end with pretty much no idea what the hell actually happened. Evil. Just… evil.

Scratches: Directors Cut Out In Stores Now

If the original Scratches wasn’t enough to get your blood pumping and your bowels moving, then you’ll be happy to know that Scratches publisher, Got Game Entertainment has decided to release a director’s cut of the game in April.

According to Got Game’s website, the director’s cut version of the game will include an alternate ending, for those of you unsatisfied with how it ended last time. There will also be an additional two hours, which turns into an additional chapter, of game time, just in case you need those extra two hours of game to fill your sweet sweet nightmares.

If you really are looking forward to this cut of the game, the Got Game website has place for you to put in a pre-order. So, hurry, don’t delay. Or do… I guess it really won’t make a difference, since the game won’t be out until April. Hmmmm….

Scratches becomes more terrifying

Of course I would post this two days AFTER Halloween. So, sue me. Jerks. I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO.

Okay… no I don’t. I’m a loser. But you love me anyways… Right? RIGHT?! I knew you did.

Anyways… according to Nucleosys (thanks K!) AND Adventure Gamers, you too can now hear the spookily eery noises of the wonderous adventure/thriller game, Scratches. In fact, Nucleosys, the wonderful people who developed the frightening game actually DID release it in honor of Halloween. Now I feel like a fool. But what’s new, right?

Now you can have some lovingly orchestrated sounds blasting out of your PCs speakers. Don’t blast them too loud, as I hear that you can actually cause death from loud noises. And wouldn’t that be something to be horrifically killed by a horror game’s soundtrack? That would not bad fun.
