]]> Starting this post, sixandout would dwell a little bit into the owners of the IPL Franchises.

We start with Mr. Shah Rukh Khan, the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders. Apart from owning the IPL Team, SRK is arguably the biggest star of the Indian Film Industry.

Shah Rukh Khan In India, he is referred to as King Khan, and for reasons which are not fallacious at all. This guy has got this charisma, this ‘People’ thing. He knows how to catch the pulse of the audience. Be it coming to the Knight Rider matches and hugging each player to dancing and jumping in joy when they do well. Compare that to the other owners of the IPL teams, and they are closer to stationary blots. With his team doing reasonably well in the inaugural IPL, he has reasons to cheer. He once said that he has spent a lot of his money for this venture, and is at a point of no return. Though not the richest of all IPL owners, he is undoubtedly the most popular and stylish.

]]> It won't be too easy for the BCCI to curb Dinnie's voiceI must be the next one in line after Vengasarkar and Shahrukh Khan. I have slammed them for their pathetic pitches time and again, I have debated over their selections, played accomplice to their other critters, and done loads of other things that can humiliate and agitate the forces that be at the BCCI.

I have no idea what Vengasarkar has been writing. What do you make of BCCI’s move to curb selectors from writing columns? As for SRK, no one would mind his cricket-watching if he stops carrying dolls with him. Does his son play with dolls or what?

On the eve of the third game

]]> It’s not looking all good. Actually, it’s quite annoying.

* The Green Park has been declared a no-flying zone. (Argh. You need to go tell that to the birds.)

* Once you are inside the stadium, there’s no going back.

* No cameras allowed. No mobiles allowed. No bottles allowed.

(The above two points don’t apply to my dad. He’s heading the medical team.)

* The area around the the Park has been sealed. Anyone who dares to trespass will be fined. No surprise there, but they have been overly protective this time out.

* Some people got “physical” at the ticket counters.

* There have been threats from (insert the forbidden t-word). They want to blow up things all the time.

* Diwali was just yesterday. So, the cops have no idea how they are going to go about handling everything. They have rejected pass requests from Shahrukh Khan and some other celebs.

Wow, looks like we are gearing up for some kind of war.
